Vauth Aviation Components

The specialist to produce flame-retardant polyurethane foams

VAUTH Aviation Components was founded in 1967 by Hermann Vauth as Vauth + Stich. At the beginning of the 1970s, the first flame-retardant moulded foam was developed. The recipe for these special moulded foams is known exclusively to VAUTH and is patent pending. VAUTH has been an absolute specialist in the production of these special polyurethane foams since 1970.

These VAUTH PU foams are mainly used and applied in aviation, public transportation and stadiums. Everywhere where it is important to sit properly and to be protected from toxic gases, smoke and fire in the event of an emergency.

PU foams are produced for passenger seats, flight attendant seats and pilot seats as well as armrests and various moulded parts made of integral foam. Covers, plastic parts and customized special assemblies are produced on customer request.

There is hardly a single aircraft in the world in which at least one VAUTH component has not been installed. VAUTH is the standard and VIP equipment manufacturer for many customers, seat manufacturers and airlines.

In 2015, the company Vauth + Sohn was renamed VAUTH Aviation Components in line with its market orientation and market significance.
